Robin Memorial Scholarship

Our Mission

In memory of Robin Scott-Jackson, South Cook ISC created “The Robin Memorial Scholarship” to provide financial assistance to current and former RISE students who pursue further education via a college/trade school or through military training.

Our History

Robin joined the South Cook ISC family in 2001 and worked as the registrar until her passing in 2017. During her tenure here, she exemplified the spirit of excellence and demonstrated a strong work ethic.

Robin left a positive impact on everyone she met. She loved and was dedicated to her family. To the schools in the South Cook ISC service area, she was the kind voice over the phone that helped with workshop registrations. To her fellow workers, she was the inspiration to do the very best. She was a giver and an encourager.

Robin encountered many hardships in life; however, she displayed courage to face the challenges and to overcome them while being kind and thoughtful, often putting the needs of others above her own.

Since education was so important to Robin, honoring her with this scholarship is only fitting. It is our hope this scholarship will inspire and encourage our students to persevere and reach for excellence. Just as Robin herself portrayed, our students, too, can RISE above their challenges and positively impact others.
